Yep. I’ve got 10 gallons of generator gas just in case.

The gfs and by extension the NAM have a warm nose and are showing a lot of sleet.

TWC has named it Winter Storm Enzo.

A tricky snow and ice threat is likely to materialize from Texas to at least the Carolinas during the first half of the week ahead.
This storm has been named Winter Storm Enzo by The Weather Channel.

Doesn’t that model follow up after that with a good bit of snow? Sleet before the snow is not ideal but it is still showing snow after that.

New Orleans delayed Super Bowl prep to the last minute. There are hundreds of unfinished projects. A combined freezing rain/snow event would doom their schedule.

Yeah the gfs ends in snow. The nam doesn't run that far yet.

I doubt a city that has hosted the Super Bowl 11 times is that ill prepared. I don't doubt that you made this up.

If that happens, looks like the Kohler will be put through its paces.

I have a hill in the front and back yard - give me a couple inches of snow, and ima make a sled and be a kid for a few minutes. I need some of that innocence just to have a break from reality.

We lost pwwer during the game the last time we hosted...
If I am speculating I SAY I am speculating. Drive through the quarter and downtown and you see streets torn up in the midst of construction. Six major construction projects, including ongoing work at St. Philip and North Rampart Streets, are unfinished. Road resurfacing at Girod and St. Charles and around the former Hard Rock Hotel is unfinished A major freezing rain.snow event in a Southern city will delay projects and create new problems.

Eight months ago, Super Bowl stakeholders announced an ambitious goal of completing more than 500 infrastructure projects by the end of January. Joe Threat, New Orleans' deputy chief administrative officer of infrastructure, said 90 percent of the City's roughly 200 projects are complete. “We can see the finish line," Threat said at a press conference Friday, "This has been a heavy lift of construction for the City in preparation for this season, in addition to all of our other federal and bond-funded projects we have going on in the city right now."
Meanwhile, there are hundreds of other projects under the purview of the Sewerage and Water Board, State of Louisiana, and DOTD.
Michael Hecht, state infrastructure coordinator for the Super Bowl, has been coordinating those upgrades. He expects more than 90 percent will be finished by kickoff.
“I think we’re going to come down to the wire," Hecht said. "But I think that we’re going to get the vast majority of those projects done," he said.

Please tell me this is an outlier model or something
Most all other models show snow accumulation for New Orleans
But my apple weather app just has the rain icon for Tuesday
I want a good summarized sensible projection for New Orleans Tuesday please anyone

Beer, firewood, freezer full of meat, and a chubby girl that like to cuddle. Sounds like a good time to me.

Amen! Exactly. Homeowner insurance nightmare. Don't need it. We already have a homeowner insurance nightmare with hurricanes, etc. With a bad winter storm, here come the roof repairs, plumbing, you name it. Not good.
