Already 21 in Lake Charles at my crib by the airport. Weather app says 24. I think we are in for a ride tonight.

786MW, that's frickin impressive.

I keep my house cool all winter so it's not directed at me. It does piss me off a bit that I might lose power because a whole lot of idiots are trying to get their house to 80 degrees when it's 8 outside.

My home temp measurements have been 3-5 degrees colder than reported all day. By that measure I'll hit 5 tonight

What a day! Great memories made with my 8 and 10 yo daughters. Snowball fights, being pulled in a laundry basket, snow angels, you name it! Now not looking forward to all the icy conditions to follow but I wouldn’t trade today for anything. Stay safe out there!

Yup. Watching my grandsons playing in the snow for the first time was really great. I haven’t had that kind of pure joy in a very long time..

In the south we only get these memories a few times in your life. I am retired and I can probably name on one hand every memory I have of snow. Y’all made memories today that your kids will have long after you are gone!

So far my dewpoint is 14° and though it can still drop some more, I don’t think I’m going to see a low temperature in the single digits where I am. I’m thinking 12° given the rate of decrease in the temperature and dewpoint as well as the humidity trends since this afternoon and since the skies cleared.
