Any coaches' wives looking at houses in the area?

One thing going for the area is the houses have yards. All of these new construction subdivision houses are built right up on top of eachother with tiny worthless yards. Even worse, the developers plant trashy foliage like bradford pears instead of quality shade oaks.

I think Webbie is from Sherwood so it can't be that nice.

That town is just dull and depressing. I wouldn't own a home there.

Is this another one of those OT threads where people try to be cool by mothefricking Baton Rouge? Yeah, I thought so.

Baton Rouge is a decent place to live. I like it here. But if you can't see or admit it is objectively kind of a shite hole, then well maybe take a drive to anywhere else and see how it compares.

Source?
I think that we are experiencing another bubble that will pop one day like they all do. Hopefully it won't be as bad as the sub-prime mess but your chart is silly. RE dropping like that would mean another great depression.

I agree. Look at the artificially inflated prices in Perkins Rowe. Over $180 a square foot for poorly constructed condos.

200-500 k is about the right amount for a house
anything more is just location, otherwise it isnt worth it

You can get a lot for your money in that area. Broadmoor has some large lots. Red Oaks too.
It's like anything else you just have to know what you are buying and pay accordingly.

Christmas is around the corner, let us know how many times your house gets robbed this season.

On the flip side, new construction home prices in other areas are outrageous!

I lived in that area(lived on El Camino Ave) 12-15 years ago and it was already sorta starting to go bad then. How bad is that area now?
