Some of it, yes

3 mattresses, 2 chairs and a sofa (between Juban & Walker) weren't.

It's depressing enough to see all the debris in Zachary, Central, LP, BR and AP. Would be nice to drive on cleaner Interstate.

Ah gotcha.

I didn't drive on 12 yesterday and see the furniture. Just on 10 and I did see all the bags and shite.

I hope dotd picks up the sandbags by the aquadam area

I lived in a small town in SW PA outside Pittsburgh. 4 times a year the entire town would go cleanup the roads. you were given a designated stretch and trash bags. left them on the side of the road for the county to pick up. pretty powerful what people could do when they want to. was so nice driving right after a cleanup day

As much as I despised my time spent living in N LA, one redeeming thing was the Sheriff in Bossier was not afraid to work his inmates. Everyone except the max security inmates lived on the Pea Farm which was a working farm to grow food for the jails. First sign of flooding or a tornado/storm and he had those guys loaded up and out cleaning the neighborhoods or sandbagging. It was really nice to have things cleaned up in just a few days.

It's ridiculous how shitty our Cities look right now. Why don't our leaders get the convicts to work & tackle this??

My guess is they have those guys in the cleanup crews that are cleaning up the hundreds of thousands of piles of shite in front of houses.

I drive i10 every day to AP.. there is lots of trash and it sucks to look at, but we just had a historic flood and are still recovering from it. There is STILL standing water in the alligator bayou/bayou paul area and i10 still had a hydro dam on it blocking water until sunday/monday.

Good luck getting some of rural LA to put the Meth down long enough to do that. People look at us crazy for "Havin' uhh dawg in da house", you might as well have two heads if you asked some of them to take some fiscal responsibility and clean up a little.

not everyone showed up for it. bunch a couple hundred can do serious work in an afternoon. fact is we wouldn't even get 2% of the population down here to show up.
