Anyone else feel like we're living in Chalmette after Katrina?

It's ridiculous how shitty our Cities look right now. Why don't our leaders get the convicts to work & tackle this??

How about you stop bitching and go help clean up.

Are you don't want to break a nail?

I see prisoners or community service people cleaning the litter from I-12 in St. Tammany every month or two.

After gutting my 4th house last week, I actually had to return to work.

If only I had more time, sort of like prisoners.

What do you mean right now? The highways, interstates, and cities have always looked like this. The general population of Louisiana couldn't give 2 shits about not throwing their Sonic bags out of the window. Hell, I'd settle for not allowing their dogs to run out into the streets, getting ran over, swelling &bursting, and leaving people to drive over their insides until it's eventually gone.

Oh but putting it at the road in front those houses is a lot better

Where would you have people put it dumbass?

The rant isn't about Nancy Drive, it's about our Interstates & what we shouldn't be seeing on top of the depressing heart of our home streets.

Maybe picking up mountains of residential debris trumps making the interstates look pretty. They can wait.

Maybe

But prisoners aren't cleaning debris from people's yards.

Sad but very true. It's a pride thing and Louisiana residents just don't seem to have it, or rather they just don't care. I visited my folks in BR last month and couldn't believe how filthy the city is. It's not like EBR parish prison doesn't have enough inmates to help clean it up.

I10 near BR they were mowing yesterday. You know all that rain we got and how it's rained everyday since then? Yea that makes it tough for 2000lb tractors to drive through to cut.

The litter is from the water receding

The state cut so much budget they forgot to cut the grass.
