Granted the ground beef is 80/20

I tried that a couple years ago. The meat was more like 98/2. The Fresh Market "Tuesday special" was truly the worst ground beef I've ever bought anywhere.

Yeah, I prefer the whole cuts ground for the same reason.

Two blade roasts deboned and a ground round gives a nice red ground meat that doesn't dry out.

There are no poors on the OT and everyone here eats grass-fed prime rib every night

Dry aged heavy beef is so much better than grassfed. I honestly don't get the facscination there

You a little light in your loafers?

Get you some Oscar Meyer thick cut Bologna and take it to the deli counter and ask them to slice it thin.

Fresh Market also does a sale on the hormone or antibiotic free chicken on Tuesdays as well.

Rando, you come across as condescending and a little faggy in this thread.

Only ground meat we eat is sirloin so that really doesn't help. What does help is buying a whole calf and having it processed like you want.

Condescending? Yes.

Phaggy? A mouth's a mouth. Was I supposed to tell your dad he couldn't put it in his mouth?

I bought half a calf at benefit auction Sunday for $325, by the time I split the slaughter fee and pay my packing fee I'll be paying about $2.75-$3 a pound. :nana:

I would guess that a guy who brags about where he buys apples would be a more willing receptacle.

Also, is the sausage special because the casing doesn't explode when you shove it up your fgt arse?

How much room do I need in the freezer for a calf/half?

I remember my family butchering cows/calves but also remember a full size chest freezer.

No.

They have beef, pork, alligator, chicken, buffalo, deer, elk, and possibly bear as well.

I could see where your mind would be focused on a guy's a-hole however.

Since your name is terd ferguson after all.

You can take a good look at a T-bone by sticking your head up a bull's arse, but wouldn't you rather take the butcher's word for it?

What prompted this thread? And in general, I like grass-fed for the omega-3s. If I'm getting a steak, sure, I'll opt for the corn-fattened dry-aged.
