I don't believe this for the most part and especially for seafood. But when it comes to specialty meats, 110%. If you're in BR and want smoked sausage, boudin, andouille, go west, not east.

Why are people in this state obsessed with food? No wonder it’s filled with fat fricks.

I have no idea what it’s called but their used to be a po boy shop in Covington I went to as a kid. The place was like a Time Machine. Very old and dated.

It was good.

I forgot about this one, lol. I absolutely love this little market. They've changed the name to Charlie's Saint streets grocery, but the food is still amazing

Lafayette cooking vs Mandeville cooking

From the Laffayette area dawg. Love the food there. But Mandeville area has some really good spots. If you do not think so, you are dumb.

New Orleans jumped on the Cajun band wagon when they hosted the World’s Fair, and everyone outside of Louisiana mistakenly assumes that’s the place to go to for Cajun cuisine

This. Paul Prudhomme also had somewhat of a hand in this. Before then calling someone from New Orleans a Cajun was a pejorative.

Don't forget:

Bon Temps Grill
Cafe Lola and Lola 2
Poor Boys Riverside
Olde Tyme Grocery
Dwyers Cafe
Cafe Josephine (technically Sunset but Lafayette-ish)
Mandez's Seafood
Morvant's for a burger
Uncle T's (Scott, but close enough to Lafayette)
Poche's in Breaux Bridge
Pat's Downtown does a fantastic lunch.

And don't sleep on any of the pizza joints....Village, Deano's, Aleisi's

I could probably keep going but its making me hungry.
