He's charging you higher than dealer prices.

If he could actually do the work I would pay $200 and provide the parts.

I have little doubt my shite would be fricked up. Pretty much why I don't do the sparkplugs on this car myself.

The last time I had a dealer change spark plugs, it was on a 5.4. They charged $200,well worth it. I don't think I'd let him wash my car though.

I have a feeling you would hit the brakes at the first red light and they would be flushed and you would get t boned.

Probably $150 for strictly the oil change. $400 for the spark plugs and replacement (guessing 2hrs @ 125 plus parts) and then $30 for the air filter.

All things I would trust to an indy without a doubt. Wouldn't even need to be a euro, the sparkplugs are right on top.

You will not have the 40k service, so just make sure you do everything else that is required/recommended. Check battery volts, tranny fluid, nix the turbo seals, not sure if yours is AWD, all the BS lubing and such too.

Probably because you can count on a major repair before 100k on a Benz. My gf's car needs a new front fuse box at 40k miles. It has caused a couple of other systems to short out as well. Total to fix everything was $3200.

With BMW, I believe they are trying to get away from extended warranties. I know they cut back what's on covered under their CPO warranty program

I don’t know what kind of shop you go to, but they’re gouging the hell out of you on labor costs. I’ve had all 4 tires and rotors removed, machined, and reassembled in less than an hour at a cost of about $50.

No you haven’t.

You wanna bet?

I can get all that done for you at that price and throw in a brake tag.

This thread has me thinking, the only place in BTR I’ve ever taken my car is the dealership and the prices are outrageous.

Does anyone have a BTR mechanic recommendation for Range Rover service?

Dealer service departments are criminals. Taking your car there for anything not warrantied is a really stupid decision.

I have changed out thousands of spark plugs from a 74 Ford Pinto to a 2017 Ferrari and have never charged less than $2000 on a job. That is what I do for a living and I can tell you it is very hard. I do nothing but spark plugs. It is my specialty and people pay me damn good money to get the job done right. Hell, my nickname has been Sparky for 32 years so I can tell you any damn thing you want to know about spark plugs buddy. Try to tell me that junks easy.....sheeeat.

My second happiest day in my life was buying a Land Rover for my wife paying $119,000 no discount they held firm on the price.
I thought it was a good aniiversary gift.

My happiest day was selling that hunk of junk to a sucker. What saved my resale value was the panoramic roof was in high demand and low miles. I guy out of Miami, FL came to buy it for his buddy.

That thing lived in the shop everytime you turn around. The vehicle had a lot of little quirks.

As far as maintenance cost you pay to play as it is not a Chevy.
Sad part the reliability was more like a Yugo.
