One of the best sites in the world; a closed shopping mall.

Although I think outdoor malls are even more stupid especially during storms and summer heat.

I remember him. He was pretty cool. I remember going there to get school shoes for the upcoming year..

I've seen this place mentioned on the OT a lot and it's been mentioned how culcha had taken it over. Doesn't seem to me that any subset of the community has taken it over. It looks like it wont be long until mother nature reclaims it.

There is a mall about the same size in town where I live in AL and even it's not that empty. And my town has nowhere near the population of BR. Crazy.

I worked there in the 1980's, and the place was constantly packed and parking was a real pain. Not any more.

A new mall opened in a better part of town in the mid 90s. This mall and its clientele started slowly declining as did some of the surrounding area.

This looks like a rip off of Dan Bell's Dead Mall series on YouTube.

From camera work all the way down to narration.

If mama brava was still open I’d still go to Cortana

Was just thinking of the past today and found it. Really made me remember more what it was than what it is frankly.

I had no idea it was that empty. I haven't been since I took my mother before her death. Probably a good 15 years ago.

Feeling old as dirt today. Must be the weather.

There was a place there called Larry K’s (a seafood joint run by Larry K. Sullivan); a movie theater, and more.

Mom used to drop me and my sister off around 7 and pick us up around 10pm when I was about 12. I don’t think there’s anyway in hell you could do that nowadays.

Well yeah you were respectful of others no matter your age and knew not to cause trouble. Or not too much trouble in some of our cases.

I don't remember anyone other than that kid named Georgie going missing and that had something to do with a storm drain or something

We got dropped off at Cortana in middle school for hours with a pocket full of quarters for Space Port.

You’re probably one of said fools I owned on the reg. Mom would pick me up on the way to Giamanco’s for dinner.

For being essentially abandoned, the interior doesn't look as crappy as I expected.
