It happened to you and your wife so you think it is common?
The first pregnancy that my ex-wife and I had was ectopic. Does that make it the normal occurrence for young couples?
Medical necessity abortions are at most 2% of the reported abortions.

What about rape? Incest?

Awful circumstances, also exceedingly rare events. If you take all abortions in year due to rape, incest, or legitimate health of the mother, they only account for about 2% of all abortions performed.

Roughly 98% of abortions are acts of convenience.

So women who need abortions to save their lives when the child is dead or can’t survive should just die to satisfy you?

Once again just answer this question: If medical necessity, rape, and/or incest abortions are legal; do you agree that abortions for the convenience of the mother should be illegal?

If not, do you concede that either parent has the right to terminate the pregnancy?

The US aborted 1 million babies last year.

Thats a fricking lot there hoss.

quote:
Abortions are on the rise in the United States, despite bans that have taken effect in more than a dozen states since the US Supreme Court’s Dobbs decision that revoked the federal right to abortion in June 2022.

There were more than 1 million abortions in the US in 2023.

i think that in 2018 or 2019 there were more black babies aborted in NYC than born.

you can argue the morality of abortions being good or bad, or that it's "controlling somebody's body."

that over half of black women in NYC feel like they can't or don't want to have children no matter the reason isn't good for society.

my boss' neighbor was having twins and one passed away in the womb.

I think it's the Dr. purposeful misinterpretation of the law, but they said they had to carry that baby to full term and she had to give birth to the live twin, then the deceased one.

my boss and i are both rabidly pro-life but felt like it's a gross misrepresentation of what the law is meant to do. the most insane religious nut doesn't think that.

Sorry to hear that it happened to them.

Did you know that some twins absorb their sibling? I'm sorry that the family had to go through a difficult pregnancy, but did the still living twin no longer deserve it's life because of the passing of the sibling? Did they only want to have twins?

of course not. i'm entirely pro-life. i wasn't justifying abortion. i'm just saying we have a poster here that went through that and i know one in my personal life. it's rare, but it's not unheard of.

just to be a centrist, i'd offer life of mother, stillborn, rape as acceptable terms (i'm against it) if we got rid of elective abortion. while i want no abortions ever, i feel like that's a compromise the left would never accept. because they want to be able to live life with no consequences.

i'm just saying that i don't think the most rabidly pro-life person is in favor of my real-world experience of a stillborn being forced to be carried to term or the poster above's instance. ban elective abortion. i'm all about it. just don't remove the medically necessary instances (which tragically do exist) and make that criminal.

What’s your opinion of that Esteban Siberiano (sp?) guy? I see a lot of clips of him and he seems incredible to the untrained ear.

He's incredible in many aspects in his videos. No idea about live of course, but I always enjoy his content. Enormous range of styles and techniques.
