It happened around 5pm on Saturday, Oct. 14. Deputies are on scene still trying to piece together exactly what happened.

Early reports indicate two people had an argument, possibly an ongoing argument, with a Popeyes employee and that’s what led up to several shots exchanged between the two parties.

APSO now says one person appears to have been shot and took themselves to a hospital for treatment. The extent of injuries is unknown at this time. It appears the two people who walked into the Dutchtown Popeyes fled in a vehicle and then drove to a hospital. A Popeyes employee has also been detained.

Full Story

The neighboring daiquiri shop that turned ghetto with Dodge Chargers and Dodge Challengers, smoke, vape shop, and liquor shop in the same shopping center as Bergeron's probably isn't helping attract the quality and character of people for this area needed in order continue to thrive.

Leader's for me.

I’ve got a 6 month old Black Lab puppy that has more impulse control than these fricking thugs, I bet his IQ is higher too.

That area has more shootings than any of the "nice areas" of New Orleans.

Suburb apologists will be here shortly.

He said it’d be about 5 minutes and it ended up being 20 and a gun fight.

Don't worry, just move further out. You will eventually escape that in which you create.

I used to hear gunshots every night walking the dog around 73 and Cornerview. The thing was that you never knew if it was baws or not.

I had to assume the automatic gunfire every Saturday afternoon was ole boys having a good time.

Could have been me.

Just the opposite, actually. The staff were professional and polite.. it was the fact that the biscuit was moist that caused all impulse control to vanish

Just want to report that I was at the Popeye's in Gtown at 5:15 and no one was shot, there were no cars "pulled up", and only one person in front of me to order. And yes, they had spicy in the rack ready to go.

Although I will admit, the one on 73 usually has better service.
