Is a completely unneeded call to make and just the idea of keyboard warriors feeling a sense of honor

The logical move is to scrap the game, and just go by win percentage if you can’t make it up.

Why is this the logical move? I didn’t see the Bengals pushing adamantly to continue the game, it seemed to be a mutual decision from all parties involved that the game not be played last night. Just cancel the game and go by winning percentage.

Interested in this as well. Read his vitals are normal but still in critical condition.

The Ravens disagree. If the game gets canceled they don’t get a chance to win the division by beating the Bengals this weekend.

You can be critical and still have normal vitals. You can keep vitals in medically accepted parameters through medication and mechanical devices. The key is getting him to do these things on his own. If I had to guess he’s sedated, intubated, and possibly going through hypothermic therapy at this time while they’re assessing damage (if any) to all of his organs.

Last I heard he was still intubated though that could have changed and I didn't hear. Until he can breathe on his own, he's nowhere near out of the woods.

Hypothermic therapy is done while patient is intubated. They gradually lower body temp and then gradually bring it back up.

Yeah I'm not disagreeing with you. I'm just saying that as far as I'm aware he's still intubated and therefore has a ways to go before they take him off the critical list.

Keeled over means collapsed. Not die.

Well, too bad for them. That’s life. Playoffs and Super Bowl aren’t getting pushed back and the game didn’t get played today so that’s the way it goes. There is no perfect solution. Cancel the game and move on.

You can be critical and still have normal vitals.

Talked to my wife who is a nurse as well as one of her co-workers about this today.

I asked what "normal vitals" meant in the ER...they said, it means that they can detect things like pulse, temperature, BP, O2 saturation. Eventually, it will include things like urine output.

I asked if brain activity would be included and they said no...especially if sedated or unconscious. They said they would not use words like "out of the woods" until he wakes up and they can get an idea of how is brain is functioning.
