Rightfully so... miscarriage of justice. Bitch deserved to fry! What she did is no different than killing someone during a burglary

10 years is fair.
Let the idiots riot in Dallas. The city has already gone to hell in a handbasket anyway.

Wow. She only got 10?! I was thinking between around 20 or more. Especially after all the crap she's done/said that was shown during the sentencing phase.

Apparently the prosecution asked for 28 years?

Good grief. Killing someone during a robbery is completely different. She wasn't committing a felony/crime when she thought his apartment was hers.

She broke into the man’s home and shot him dead...

I missed much of this but how did she explain that she thought he was in HER apartment? I mean her key would only open her apartment right?

WOW, in the victim impact statements, his brother spoke and said he doesn't even want her to go to jail, he wishes nothing but the best for her, then he asked the judge to let him hug her. They hugged for a good minute. It was weird.

shoulda put that bitch under the jail

I would have probably given her 12-14 but 10 I think is in the area of reasonable.
One thing to keep in mind while the 5 years she will do will be the toughest part don't discount the fact what seems to be (based on her SM) her entire identity is stripped from her for life. That elite unit LEO status is gone. No more one shot one kill no luck all skill hoorah. She will be reduced to a back the blue hanger-on. Stuck posting sad memes on Facebook like any other cop groupie. Every time she sees that thin blue line flag sticker on her car bumper it will be another twist of the knife.

Door was unlocked

Didn't she try to blame this all on being drunk. But then the toxicology report came back that she was stone cold sober?
Also, didn't she say that the door was slightly open. But then people said that was impossible at that complex because of how the doors close.
