I'm not bothered by it. My grandfather was a gunsmith and he's got a collection that would rival anyone on this board.

Cool, so you support increasing the funding for mental health research and care then?

You're the one arguing that a knife is just as efficient as a gun in a mass killing situation. That's absurd.

Ah yes, it always comes down to funding...someone or something
Ever wonder why we are the most medicated (anti depressant) nation in the world?

I guess if you're Liam Neeson, sure.

Then right on. I'm sure the OT will no longer have threads making fun of people who seek help for anxiety or depression moving forward.

I have no idea what that means

The OT is a collection of degenerate fricks, but everytime I've seen someone come to this board for help, there's been nothing but positive responses from people truly trying to help. It's one of the only subjects people here don't frick around with.

I'm all for mentally ill getting help.
I'm also against throwing drugs at people for feeling temporarily sad

no im not.
Did I misunderstand?

Give a crazy man a knife and he can do the same damage.
It sounds like you're arguing a knife would be just as deadly as a gun.

Nah, throwing drugs at the problems is the problem. I'm all for research that doesn't involve just throwing pills at it.

True. Therapy should be the first step in a lot of cases, but sadly, not all doctors act this way.

Our anti depressant use is through the roof, we're definitely number one.
Messing with brain chemistry doesn't always produce positive results

Well let's do something then. Since we don't want to limit access to firearms for those with warning signs of mental disorders. And increased funding for mental health research isn't the answer. And getting folks medicated for their mental disorders isn't a viable solution either.
