Technically, that's true. But in all states, more people were killed by guns that were neither labeled handgun nor rifle and just as "unknown" than by stabbing (hell, half of gun murders in some states were classified as having used an unknown type of firearm). So while the information is true based on the data we have and makes a nice talking point, it's also not complete by any means.
