Sorry compadre, if I, or anyone else, had some magic answer then this wouldn't be happening. Research has found that the majority of mass shooters have a history of domestic violence, for example. If researchers and better pin down the traits and qualities of a mass shooter, you can preemptively keep them away from weapons that can allow them to carry acts out.

Honestly, I dunno. It was the only research I could find on the subject via Google...and probably for a good reason. If they were indeed including legally obtained guns that were stolen, then I will also call bullshite on those numbers.

Their research seems pretty well sourced. They don't count stealing from family members as a "legally obtained" firearm. Sandy Hook was counted as an illegal weapon.

While I think there are a few restrictions that need to be put in place, I do respect the 2nd amendment. I have a gun in my house. I am not not at all anti-gun.. But what does the NRA even do? I don't need those mother frickers to buy a gun or teach me how to shoot a gun.
If you don't donate to them or anything, they don't give a frick about you. They are just another special interest group that owns the politicians and since I do think that special interest groups are part of our government's problem.. I say frick the NRA.
