Are you sure about that? Channel 8 reported they were being arrested for Class B misdemeanor obstructing a passageway (roadway). You can’t walk in the middle of a road.

That’s what they were being arrested for; however, since they were being led there and marching peacefully, the DA and county judge ordered them released.
The city leaders asked for peaceful protests and no violence. They got it tonight. These arrests were absurd and quickly (within like 30 minutes) undone.

Well I didn’t say every.
I was happy with what I saw in Dallas and Austin tonight. APD had lots of cops listening to the protestors and engaging with them. Even walked arm in arm with them. The protests were civil from the HQ down to the capitol building.

The ringleader is out on bond for domestic violence. The county judge made a side deal with this bunch to stay on county property, where he would protect them. They ignored him and went onto a state highway, so another Democrat (the DA) stepped in to save the day.

You have responded with two metros in Texas that have remained relatively peaceful even though they are actively breaking law and resisting lawful orders. Most people realize the majority of protests have been peaceful and productive, especially in daylight, but what has been happening in numerous metros around the country is unacceptable. These late night riots have to be succumbed.

dallas is one of those cities that you have to steal more than 1000 dollars to be eligible for arrest
