You have responded with two metros in Texas that have remained relatively peaceful even though they are actively breaking law and resisting lawful orders

Are they rioting or not?

Most people realize the majority of protests have been peaceful and productive, especially in daylight, but what has been happening in numerous metros around the country is unacceptable. These late night riots have to be succumbed.

None of this is relevant to this thread.

They were led onto the Margaret hunt hill bridge, where police escorted them in order to be out of the limits of the curfew. The cops then blocked them in on the bridge and tried to arrest them for...reasons. They even deployed smoke into the crowd. I know this because I literally watched the livestream as it was happening. This was absurd by police and the people are being released as they should. There was zero violence, they followed where the police led them to go and got fricked.

Where did you get this?

So that’s merely your interpretation of an uncommented livestream?

It was around 8:40 p.m. when the crowd began moving north on Riverfront Boulevard. They then avoided downtown and began moving west instead onto the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge. The bridge is also not included in the mandatory curfew.

Video from SKY 4 shows officers form a barrier on the bridge to keep them from crossing the bridge into Trinity Groves. That was when officers deployed smoke. Some protesters began to lay down. SKY 4 video shows several protesters were being detained.

The livestream I watched was on the ground but this info is from the sky cam.

That does not support that the police led them into a trap, as was your supposition.

Judge Clay Jenkins tweet:

quote:

The protesters left the protection of the county property and traveled into a bridge controlled by the city and state. I urge restraint on the part of everyone and grace towards the protesters.

He got played. They lied. He gave them cover on county property. They left. DPD and Dallas County Sheriff’s Office acted (state troopers are there, too). The DA said he would refuse charges.

The Dallas Democrats are definitely at odds.

They blocked off traffic, followed the group the entire way without telling them to stop/disperse/whatever, etc and only moved when they blocked them on the bridge from both sides and started firing smoke and possibly rubber bullets then started arresting people.

What would you call that? It was like watching a cattle drive.

Richmond Police Chief gets emotional while talking about fire set to home with child inside

Maybe you’d like to see an African American mayor in a city you probably haven’t seen coverage of grieving about a building set on fire with a child trapped inside in a, yes you called it, a late night riot. Or maybe you look forward to the comments of family’s from the cops that were just shot in St. Louis. These late night riots must be stopped!

See my previous post. I bet the mayor and police chief/sheriff are pissed. Jenkins tagged the chief and sheriff in his tweet, urging restraint.

I have no idea what you’re even arguing at this point.

I understand that they were not rioting. Some were in the curfew zone and were arrested. The rest broke their promise to not continue breaking the law and went across the bridge.

I’m just trying to inform you of the law they did break and the Democrat vs. Democrat chicanery involved to help them wiggle out of it.

Perhaps arguing that illegal protests are illegal and should be stopped. I haven’t seen footage of a single example of unpeaceful protests during the day, but the people rioting at night are causing destruction, mayhem, violence, and at the very least disturbance of the peace or disorderly conduct?

What do you think the endgoal is? These people are robots who would die willingly if they thought it could help trump lose.

Have they found the peaceful protestors who almost killed that guy trying to protect his friends business? lol. Watched a little bit of the stream last night. Glad to see police finally starting to put an end to these protest before letting them get out of control.
