I have 3 friends and neighbors, black families, who took their children down to the March tonight. The recent shootings really hit them hard (all 3 families have tween aged sons) and wanted to be part of showing their concern. I volunteer alongside these women every week on PTA and in community organizations. They hate the ignorant pot stirring as much as anyone else and feel they have more to lose than many of this continues to escalate. My heart goes out to them and their boys who witnessed something hideous tonight. I have nothing but respect and love for these women.
