Not really. I very much enjoyed living in San Francisco and it was a true urban environment, unlike the faux urban environment these Dallas people live in.

I love the Metroplex, but Dallas is a black eye now on a wonderful place to live. It is ok though, we need a place for the trash to live.

For instance, one of the ones near me was at the parking garage near park Lane. It was a kid who dropped out of HP high school. I'm sure he wasn't buying drugs or something.

You’re running out places to live. West Monroe, Shreveport and Bawcomville are all going to shite. Now Dallas.

Everything you touch turns to shite.

Please don’t move to New Orleans.

I've never lived in West Monroe or bawcomville. Only lived in Shreveport for less than a year.

And I'll probably be in New Orleans within 5 years if we don't move to Denver.

That’s just great, that’s all we need is more hipsters.

Ah, I lived there as well back in 85-86. Cannot wait to debate

Edit - That is one place I would urge you to not live in the burbs for obvious reasons.

We get it man, you lived in big cities and now you're a lame suburbanite who hates big cities and had to justify his decisions. You've made it abundantly clear.

You sound like a teenager trying desperately to be edgy and cool....

If your metric for measuring how “gnarly “ someone is is by geography, you’re pretty fking stupid and lame.

How am I the stupid lame one? I'm the one being told how my life in the city is by someone who doesn't live here.

I'm being told I live in a shithole dodging bullets, etc etc when that simply isn't my life.

Someone telling another person what their life is from 20 miles away is the stupid and lame one.

I don't have a metric for "gnarly" or whatever you mean. I just know how enjoyable my life is.

What part is common sense? You living in the suburbs and acting like you know better how living in Dallas in 2019 is than someone who actually lives in Dallas in 2019?

No.

It is not truly urban though. It is Texas sprawl urban. Urban with lots of trees and dedicated apartments.

It was actually suburbia 20-30 years ago

The HUD secretary under the previous WH admin pushed subsidized housing in otherwise affluent and healthy areas.

They thought it would help the poor. Or help allies get elected in Dallas. Not sure which.
