If not for this thread, I'd have no clue about these murders. I would assume the vast majority are south of I30.

It's the epitome of Dallas suburb dining. It's y'all's version of all the Houston papa places.

Well I'm cancelling my trip to Dallas now. A murder a day? Jesus

Wait, I don't have a trip to Dallas planned. Nobody does. It's about the 345th place on people's lists to go to

It's the blacks and Mexicans south of I30 killing each other. Easily avoidable.

I lived in Dallas in my late 20s and early 30s as well

Now in my 40s, I am so glad I got the hell out of there. DFW metro is a kick arse place to live and raise a family. Dallas proper is not. I know many people do it, but many lack the ability to leave.

It is not just the crime, it is everything else. Politics, taxes, education, public services, etc. Dallas is just not the Dallas of the 80s and 90s.

That's for sure. I always get confused when I see tourists downtown. It's a great place to live, but why would you vacation here?

Just seems like the appropriate response in a thread like this.

Yeah, I never understood the claim of this amazing Dallas food. Kick arse mom and pop food places are all over DFW. Hell Celina has a BBQ joint rated 2nd best restaurant in the whole country. I know it may not compare to that local Dallas BBQ though

Dallas proper has a better food scene than the suburbs and that's not even a question. You don't see places from up there opening up down here like you see the reverse.

There aren't places like the grape, St Martin's, Rapscallion, revolver, CBD Provisions, boulevardier, etc etc.

This isn't just a Dallas thing, it's almost everywhere. Suburbs will be easy and convenient with a lot of chains.
