The father and stepmother who pull dark pranks on their children on their controversial “DaddyOFive” channel face child neglect charges and up to ten years in prison, PEOPLE confirms.

On July 27, prosecutors in Frederick County, Maryland, charged Heather and Michael Martin each with two counts of neglect of a minor, court records obtained show. Prosecutors allege that the Martins neglected two of their youngest children, Emma, 12, and Cody, 9, between November 2016 and April 2017.

The Martins face up to five years in prison per count and a $5,000 fine.

The couple has reached a plea agreement with prosecutors, their attorney, Stephen Tully, told the Frederick News Post, but he wouldn’t comment further.

The Martins have a plea hearing scheduled for Sept. 11, court records state.

The charges stem from controversial videos the Ijamsville, Maryland, couple made showing them playing twisted pranks on their children that many viewers across the Internet decried as abusive.

I hated them for making that little feller cry.

I really hated them for making him feel scared and alone against the world.

I can't watch those videos without becoming infuriated. Every single time that bitch claimed they were pranks, I want to slap her across the fricking face.

He may be just a little boy but his age is the most sensitive formative time of his life where he develops a behavioral identity and personality in full that he will carry into teenage years and beyond into adulthood and it could be possibly fricked up beyond repair by shite head parents that only see him as a dollar sign.

Those pathetic excuses for parents should serve the full five years of their sentence.

One of them was that they put disappearing ink on the carpet in the young boy's room then accused him of ruining the carpet and not taking care of his things. And by accusing I mean that they violently threatened and cursed and yelled at him to the point of driving this very young boy to tears, and after the kid completely breaks down the "adult" parents start gleefully laughing about how it is all a prank and the kid needs to lighten up.

There were a lot more things like this. It's all legitimately pretty disturbing stuff.

The woman in the videos is not the bio mom of the younger children who were the brunt of most of the abuse. The man is the bio dad. I remember when all this stuff was blowing up that the bio mom did claim that the bio dad had done some probably illegal, "abduction" to wind up with the kids. I don't remember the details or know how much of that was substantiated.

I'd suggest not watching because it really is horrible what the so-called "parents" did to these kids.

From a Philip DeFranco video - NSFW language warning:
See the kids repeat DoF's words "It's just a prank" and then a brief montage of abuse.

A clip of a "friendly game" between siblings - possibly one of the worst/most infuriating things

The step-mother is a disgusting piece of work too. I don't think I'll forget the time after a prank, she laughed and said the prank would have been better if one of the gingers fell down the stairs.

With two charges for both "parents" that'd be 10 years and $10,000 each. But with a plea deal, I assume that's an unlikely outcome, which is supremely disappointing.
