Just curious why these helicopters are flying at such high speeds in low/zero visibility in terrain that can come up so quickly you don't have time to correct. It sounds almost exactly like the Kobe crash.
I mean, it's a helicopter...it doesn't need a certain rate of forward air speed to remain in the air.

To be fair i think Alaska has one of the highest licensed plane/helicopter populations in the world.

Exactly. And don't get me wrong- I'm somewhat ambitious. But I work closely with billionaires and my constant thought it, "I know why I'm here... WTF are you doing here instead of, I dunno, swimming with dolphins in your own pool?"
