Same. I knew I was never gonna be riding a road bike on the roads cause I just don't trust most drivers to not accidentally kill me while trying to text on their phone. The bell I have is small and not girly in the least.

The thought of how pathetic this entire event must have been has me legit lol'ing.

It's terrible at times on the Tammany Trace. I try to ride early so I'm done before it gets too busy. But people completely oblivious to their surroundings just kill me.

i think the whole excuse for the naked bike ride is a protest against oil dependency, etc.

I was on medication all last week that made me VERY MOODY(side effect of the meds). I just wanted to ride my bike that day to de-stress and feel better. When those women didn't move I just snapped

I've seen this same crazy lady at the lakes yell at joggers and walkers to get the frick out of her way several times. Funny shite

Look, man, here is the deal. Bike paths are really "every motherfricking under the sun transects that cyclists, runners, walkers, strollers, skaters, rollerbladers, walkers, opossums, etc." use to get from A to B.
I don't like them for serious cycling unless forced to. When forced to use them, the majority of the time I come up on someone in front I will make enough noise for them to react in time, and not be scared shitless.
A lot of times they don't react, because they have their fricking ears plugged with earbuds!!!! Then they are scared shitless anyway.
So, the moral of the story is keep to the right, and hope you don't get plowed.....

I would say 90% of the walkers/joggers have the music going. This is way more dangerous on a bike path than anything else. Luckily, most people around here know to keep right.

If that's the case, they're really clutching at straws

Mostly ride at Stone Mountain. At least that is the venue I'm ranting about.

That just sounds very painful if they are fully naked.
Especially if you are a male.
They must upgrade to some seriously padded saddles for that ride.

Most of them think you and every other vehicle on the road should be able to sense their presence and yield to them.

Or if it's a general use path shared by people walking, jogging, and cycling? And there are 10 people walking just taking up the whole path, totally oblivious to any cyclists behind them trying to pass them up. Just last week I was so aggravated I yelled "MOVE THE frick OUT OF THE WAY" at this large group of power walkers that would not move over after I hit my bike bell over and over.
Similar thing happened to me at a park near my house. I like to go there and ride because it is one huge figure 8 loop. Right half of the park has playgrounds where my daughter can play, and two large fenced in areas for people to bring their dogs to. Left half is a big soccer field. I got behind this family, like 5 people, walking 3 dogs between them, all just going slow as Christmas on the paved path. Dogs tugging at their leashes and wanting to play in the grass, but these fatties were just taking up the whole path. About the third time I passed them, I nearly took out a dog. The next couple of times I got a full head of steam and came within inches of the guy walking with them. They finally made it to the gate and went in there with the dogs.

...so basically you felt like most automobile drivers do when they encounter a group of cyclists taking up an entire road.
Share the path.

How hard is it to call out "behind" or "on your left" when passing a slower cyclist?
You probably take almost a whole second to steer around. That's asking way too much of cyclists. One of them will ram you out of spite one day.
