How hard is it to call out "behind" or "on your left" when passing a slower cyclist?

I'm going to put one of you dips into oncoming traffic one day because I don't know you are passing me.

Rant over.

Thought this thread would be about some kind of connection between cyclist and fracking.

Do it every time, here.

How hard is it not to ride 3 abreast on your Sunday Cruisers on a 8' wide bike path?

For some reason this just made me Well done sir!

Yes, I am bitter about those smug bastards passing me going up hills, but I'm also worried about knocking them into a car.

Or if it's a general use path shared by people walking, jogging, and cycling? And there are 10 people walking just taking up the whole path, totally oblivious to any cyclists behind them trying to pass them up. Just last week I was so aggravated I yelled "MOVE THE frick OUT OF THE WAY" at this large group of power walkers that would not move over after I hit my bike bell over and over.

I really don't like it when I'm walking with my toddler who is on a tricycle and they come up from behind you, not saying a word, and pass you at lightning speed. My lil man is erratic because he's just learning, and if any douche runs into him, I'm taking them out.

It doesn't happen a lot, but it does happen, and it's not cool.

Exactly what I am talking about. Hell, if I am climbing a hill and there are people walking, running etc., I would like to know if some asshat is coming up on my left. I'm not beyond a bit of a swerve from time to time.

As this board knows all too well, the cyclist population has a disproportionate amount of assholes compared to the general public.

well if all the OT assholes hadn't made the roadies ride on the sidewalk instead of the road you wouldn't have this problem.

After crashing my bike one time because someone walking on the shared path was too busy playing with their phone and walked into me and my bike as I was passing them....went home and ordered a bell.

"On your left" just doesn't seem to work as well as hitting an annoying bike bell over and over.

Not a bad idea. Don't think I can do it though. I have a hybrid and not a true road bike, but even so, I do have some manly pride.
