You can leave your science on the shelf, too.

Unfortunately, such people take care of their children in much the same way.

Now imagine how many perishable items you’ve bought that were returned to their refrigerated spot after being left on a shelf somewhere.

Not one person who does this could actually tell you what perishable means.

You must have had lousy parents to not teach you to put things back where you got them.
Lazy inconsiderate jackasses like you are usually first ones to complain about prices going up.
Grocers are going to pass their losses onto someone.

That’s what I always think when I see them. I don’t necessarily trust some part-time worker to put that dethawed beef, ribs, or bag of pizza rolls in the garbage and not back on display.

As someone who works in industrial scale food industry.....worry less about that, more about “I’m sure it’s fine” shortcuts (oh wait, I mean “risk assessments”) in the plant of origin. Or policies covertly ignored by line operators because of the pressure to produce.

Tote of Tomato paste has mold on top? Scrape it off. (Actual vendor supplied remedy)

Pork bits starting to smell a little funky? Mix it with fresher stuff and send it to the ready-to-eat precooked lines
