Current/former military members: burn pits

Has anyone been having strange symptoms? I have deployed a ton, and now I am falling a part. I started reading about the burn pits and I was in many of the locations listed, and I think I have been affected. Anyone else going through something similar?

Lulz...
Some common symptoms:
Apnea (never had it before, now do)
Skin problems (same)
Low testosterone (same)
Allergies (same)
Sinus infections
Achy joints

How long did you serve? Where did you serve?
Do you have documentation of these issues from medical visits while in your unit, command, base, or in theatre?
The VA is a terrible, terrible system but it's the only thing we have. It took me 3 years, but I got my VA rating after providing all medical documentation and evidence of service-connected disability.

I have all of these too. Cerainly not downplaying exposure of some kind, but how old are you? Many of these happen as we get older.

Go to your local VA and get a work up, they can help with documenting where you were and when.

I am in my early 40s.
It looks like the military lost my medical records, but I started documenting some of this stuff as early as 03, my first deployment, which was located by the first burn pit. We are hoping the central facility in Missouri has a copy, but if not, I will be recreating everything.
I started going to the doctor for most of this stuff in the last year, as it has gotten progressively worse. So I have it all documented with a laundry list of specialists. I guess my question is what should I expect? The VA gave me a ton of paperwork to give to my doctors.

I have most of the symptoms including heart problems. All starting in my early 30s. Check motley rice law firm who is handling the case against Halliburton.

You're good man. The Marine Corps lost most of my records in between Iraq, Okinawa, and the states. Just make sure you're documenting your symptoms.
Contact the VA headquarters and let them know you need to make a claim. They'll ask you questions regarding your service and verify that you've actually been in the military. After that, they'll set you up with your local VA hospital to be assessed. Notify your physician of all your disabilities, no matter how small they seem.
It'll take some time, maybe a year or more, but you'll be able to get your rating and treatment accordingly.

My brother was around some of them but he hasn't been sick at all since returning almost a decade ago so he thinks the government experimented on him.

the Air force lost everyone's records in some alphabetical grouping in a fire (before your time). it was something like K through P.
my best to you. plow into it.
My next door neighbor has currently well documented PTSD from Vietnam and he could not get a VA home loan at the time he bought his first house. I shake my head at the utter incompetence. He came out on the gravy train as a developer bought his house for a right of way to high end estate homes behind his property.
Came out smelling like a rose. Presume the highest & best for yourself.

Did you register with the fed and state registry? I suggest you do so ASAP. Much like agent orange, the research will take years to connect exposure as the cause of the symptoms, but the registry will preserve your claim when this occurs.
