Seriously, it's awful. As a forward, I had parents telling me some real vile shite. I won't lie and act like I didn't pull a few shirts lowkey to create separation or play a little too physical, but I had dads legitimately yelling at me to "try that on them". Like, are you seriously trying to fight a 14-16 year old kid, dude?
That said, if they'd have laced up, I'd have done the same to them as I did their weak arse kids. I even had to tell my own mom to shut up or leave once.
Parents at youth sporting events are awful.

I played in the raceland and midnight tournaments about 20 years ago 
I didn't realize those tournaments were still going on. Raceland was in the middle of the cane fields, a shot over the bar meant someone was getting torn up!
The parents were trashy morons back then too...

Been done with club soccer for about 5 years, but that sounds about right from my 14 years of dealing with it as coach, parent, and ref.

Honestly, soccer just brings out the animal in everyone. I got into more scraps playing soccer than anything else. You don't realize how much awful shite happens off the ball until you play the game.
I did a lot of borderline dirty shite, and I'd be pissed when they'd do it to me. Grab shirts all day, but a guy grabbed me by the collar one time and ripped me down from behind particularly hard, and I came up swinging.
Even the girls on co-ed teams I've played on in my 20s become animals and do dirty shite.

Oh it's everywhere, it's just really bad in Houma. I don't know about Lutcher, I don't think they have a competitive soccer club. Houma, Gonzales, Baton Rouge, Laffy all did but I didn't recall a club in Lutcher.
