Expect to get raped by onboard expenses. But have fun otherwise.

I was concerned about parking in New Orleans for a week when we cruised from there too, but was pleasantly surpirsed to find that they have a dedicated parking garage just for cruisers on the back side of the convention center. It worked out great.

There is a Marriott property on Convention Center Blvd. You can also park your car at the cruise port

shite it'd probably be cheaper to stay in Metairie and take a cab to the terminal. They rape you with parking.

There is a garage close for 70-80 week. There are signs out on cruise days. I've not used them yet. I just use the dedicated cruise parking.

NCL usually parks on the outside lot and Carnival uses the garage.

I have seen some hotels from Metairie offering shuttle service and a parking package for about 200 for a week, that includes one night stay.

Seems like the parking garage near the port is $18 bucks a day

You could use Premium Parking they have lots, indoor and out, all over downtown. Very reasonable. Just google parking in New Orleans just reserve online

18*7 <$200 and you don't have to wait on a transfer before you leave and after you return...

anyone that allows for free cruise parking, I would go to the website Cruise critic, and look under port of call - New Orleans. People here are against cruises, yet see trips to the redneck riviera as the ideal vacation. I would take most cruise advice from here with a grain of salt. It's scary how many posters have never left the south.

Just park in the garage at the terminal. Even if its $100 it will be easier and less stressful than holding and carrying a weeks luggage in and out of shuttles.

Parking at the terminal isn't a bad idea, but you can drop your bags and passengers at the terminal and have the shuttle just take the driver back after parking.
