re: Cruise or Not???

My wife and kids enjoy cruises. People don't bother me. Also I'm in better shape than 98% of the people getting on the boat so I don't have care in the world. The only thing about cruises that I don't like is them trying to tell me what's acceptable to wear in the dining room on certain nights. Even on elegant nights I wear shorts, and a hat. I'm not bringing a suit for a freaking cruise

First of all that cruise is not going anywhere near China
not to say that some of the employees haven't been there recently

Royal Caribbean calling Port Canaveral “Orlando” is a bit of a stretch.

Good deal.
I won't even eat at a buffet this time of year.

you'd better be in proper attire when the Captain enters the dining room, baw

The OT supreme above all will say it’s trashy, they’ve never been, but it’s still trashy.
Go, you and your wife will have a great, relaxing time!

Gotta wear a suit to dinner, but Fat Sweaty Betty still gets to sport the two piece by the pool all day every day.

have never been on one but my wife won a free cruise a month ago so I guess we are going. We haven't picked the date or destination yet from the options they gave us but it all looks like places I have already been to which is disappointing. I am thinking it will be miserable but it's free so...
The private islands that the cruise ships own are way better than any of the other stops. Some of the stops like Jamaica and the Dominican they don't even want you to even leave the port.

When I roll in on Elegant night I can see other dudes pointing and asking their wives why they got to wear a suit, when I'm chilling eating my filet mignon in shorts

Alcohol kills germs so just make sure you stay plastered the entire time.

I made the mistake on going on a 3 day cruise out of Miami once. Never again. My wife loves to take cruises so we go somewhat often and have noticed observations. The departure port and the length of cruise play huge rolls on how much rif-raf end up on the ship. For example a 3 day cruise out of Miami rates a 9 on the rif-raf scale, while an 8 day out of Orlando/port Canaveral rates a 5-6 on the rif-raf scale.

Short cruises are cheap and attract family reunions and the trashiest people

Go on cruise, have a good time.

bullshite. They say “dress up”, so that’s what 20 of us did. They weren’t amused, but they let us stay.
We put the trash in cruise

Would be more concerned with going on a cruise during flu season
Posted on 2/3/20 at 12:22 pm to WhoDat_9
I’d use any excuse I could find to get out of going on a cruise

Not really sure if we should just go or what???

Exactly. It's the fire that will kill you.

I booked a 7 day royal carribean cruise this year that was $1000 cheaper than the 6 day Carnival cruise I took last year that was out of Fort Lauderdale

Regardless of the Coronavirus, trapping myself on a boat with that many people in the midst of any cold and flu season sounds like a nightmare and not a vacation.
