I think I could work up a silly prediction like that in a couple of minutes.

Are the coast lines that are not highlighted like that for a reason? Is it just a given that those areas are fricking piñatas for half the year?

Under threat: all places near water

That's some sweet MS Paint work.

It's going to be a bad season. Like 04/05 back to back.

2017 was bad but it wasn't 2005 bad. It was more like 2004.

2018 will ramp up to 2005.

Especially, considering the uncertainty associated with ENSO transition and what it will look like this summer.

No one knows how the upper level patterns of ridges and troughs will set up months in advance. It comes down to steering and timing of a developing system. If neutral ENSO conditions remain the Caribbean Sea may be open for business in August and September. No one knows how much SAL will be present over the MDR either.
