Maybe schools that are semi representative of the population of a city.

New Orleans is 2/3 black and 1/3 white. I don’t think a single school has close to that percentage wise.

And that’s the population after a huge chunk of white people moved to Jefferson Parish and the North Shore.

I am Just saying it’s a bit much to say desegregation failed when we really just switched from de jure to de facto segregation.

Exactly. They’ve just replaced class with race because the class thing didn’t work.

Or maybe they represent the particular neighborhood they’re in?

It's ridiculous and I've only seen it mentioned in articles here. I know damn well NETx county ISD'S aren't doing it. And won't.

It’s here, TexAgs, Reddit, Instagram, Twitter, you name it. Ibram X Kendi gets regular play time on CNN and MSNBC.

If the only place it gets talked about is here, why are states proposing or passing laws about not teaching it and why are people getting mad at states for passing laws saying not to teach it? The entire Southern Baptist Denomination almost had a schism over it.

I’m not going to pretend that the conservative world doesn’t ignorantly talk out their arse about it, they do. There are actually some truths to the theory But acting like it only exists as a boogeyman to the right, when you claim to be pretty moderate kinda makes you a liar.

Just because articles aren't being written about it constantly doesn't mean that it isn't deployed as practice.

The fact that some of you are unaware of this does not make it false. Hell...this is going on at the Smithsonian.

LINK

quote:

Social Identities and Systems of Oppression
An oppressive system is built around the ideology that some groups are superior to others. These systems take on many forms, but they all have essentially the same structure. Let’s recognize our role within them.

quote:

Whiteness
Socially and politically constructed, whiteness is not simply referring to skin color but is an ideology that reinforces power at the expense of others and strengthens systems of oppression. Let’s dig deeper.

Dig around at that link for a bit...or better yet, go learn about how bad your "Whiteness" is and get back to us that this is just a PoliBoard boogeyman. And keep in mind...this is being pushed by The Smithsonian.

They had this up there last year and took it down, but kept everything else in place because most people were too lazy to bother to look through their site.

This is all CRT.

I'm older, got an associates degree and my Bachelor's degree in the past few years on the G.I. Bill. Every sociology class I took for my degrees had a section on Critical Race Theory.

No it doesn't. Marx believed that the value of a product or service was based on the human labor that went into it. Marxism is about the profit or surplus value going to the laborers and not the capitalists.

Marxists believe in empowering the working-class in seizing the means of production (land, capital, and what you may call entrepreneurism). It's about the surplus value (the profit) going to those who labor and not to the capitalist class. Now Marxists believe in capital (money, machinery) but that the capital is just a means to produce products and that the value of the product (shoes, Taylor Swift albums) is based on the human labor and not the capital. Capital is vital even in a socialist or communist society. It's that the capital should be in the hands of labor. Marxism really has nothing to do with race and ethnicity in that Marxists believe that race and ethnicity are used to divide the working-class. Capitalists use race and ethnicity and religion to divide the working-class.

Capitalists want to keep the surplus value (profit) and use race to keep the working-class fighting over the scraps.

Slavery in the American South had to be destroyed because it was an outdated and inefficient mode of production. Capitalism is superior to slavery in regards to productivity and producing wealth.

Whats funny is Mr above the fray doesn't watch the news because it's all bs and he is above it, isn't on social media because he's above the fray and in his 50s, and probably doesn't do much of shite as far as getting news or other info besides spending all day on here being above the fray is saying it's only talked about here.

Well no shite

If you support capitalism you should support CRT because it divides the working-class.

Youre far too hung up on this.

Capitalism has done more for he working class than socialism could possibly dream of.

Ralphie, you have a porn star obsession. How would that work in this socialist world you prefer? Would the government hire hos?

Sex work is work. I do believe that ideally women won't have to sell their bodies and sex to earn a living, but Trump loves porn.
