Hmmmmm.....

Could be a title for a new movie: "Black Ladies Walking"?

Helen Prejean could mediate.

This year was worse than last. Way too many walkers. I ran it in 53 mins at a nice relaxed pace. 3 beers and some alligator sausage along the route. Didn't see the hot dogs.

Yeah I didn't see them this year either. .........the walkers, and slow runners that start ahead of their groups are a pain in the arse. But I will say that I think they helped me this year. I was so annoyed with them that I was forced to start way faster than I wanted to. Luckily I was able to keep my pace the whole way. I was hoping to get sub 55:00, and today I finished 52:02.

Without the need to get out in front of these people I would have likely stayed at my comfortable/hard pace instead of really pushing myself.

I need to make sure to start out front when I do this one day. I'd inadvertently run over someone.

Ran it last year and I remember hearing it was around 17000 people

This year I was told 25000 that probably added to the walkers I ran the side walk a bunch

And 1:04 wanted under an hour but oh well

I've done it the past 4 years and the walkers seemed worse this year than any other year combined. I wish they'd try to keep the walkers on left and runners on right or something. So frustrating

It pisses me off when there are walkers in the front just so their fat asses don't have to walk and an extra block.

I finished! Just getting home. Nothing better than jumping back on the wagon after running 6 miles. I love the classic but hate the fat, old, wide walkers. I brought back the classic red rover game with them.

I'm fat , and in trying to set up a pace. Get the frick out of my way.

I'll post a pic Monday. Good night.

1:07:58 and walked back to my hotel because the line for the buses was at least a mile long and I had a 1:30 check out. I got in over 11 miles yesterday.

Dodging the walkers, I probably could add another mile or two.

after party

I can suffer the walkers but they have got to find more space for the after party. To crowded.
