As the saying goes..."All Good Things Must Come To An End". It is with deep regrets, that "Crazy Dave's Daiquiri Bar & Grill" will officially be closing on Monday, February 17, 2020. And, what a ride it has been for the past 8 plus years and one I enjoyed immensely! I want to personally THANK all of you, who patronized my business, from inception, until the end.
I want you all to know, that I did EVERYTHING in MY power to keep the door's opened. And, spent an inordinate amount of money on extending the parking capacity and on interior improvements, that was ultimately revoked from me as a tenant. Without adequate parking ...I don't have a business!
All the great times, the great entertainment enjoyed by all, the benefit proceedings to help anyone in need, so many memories were made for so many people, friendships and relationships formed that never existed before, the many, many laughs, the tears, the love stories, that happened right before my eyes. I hope everyone in Livingston Parish and surrounding Metropolitan areas, that came to enjoy themselves will always remember Crazy Dave's, as the place you could go to and feel SAFE, enjoy a GOOD meal, AMAZING Daiquiri's, the BEST of wine and spirit's, some INCREDIBLE artists and bands, sporting events, motorcycle shows, car shows, etc. We operated under this French slogan: "Laissez les bons temps rouler" on a daily basis.
It was an awesome ride and one my staff, nor I will ever forget! Thank you all, from the bottom of my heart for all the love, support and your continued patronage over the years. And, especially to my awesome STAFF, aka (FAMILY) to me, for all your endless devotion in helping me make Crazy Dave's a success and allowing me to live my dream!!
Much love and happiness to you all in life and love!

Is this the racist bar that kicked out a black guy just because? Or is that a different LP bar?

It’s a weird location in Livingston , near absolutely nothing, in a lone strip bar outside a recently built starter home subdivision on a highway with 55 mph traffic . I’m not sure they did a solid demographics analysis prior to opening because it seems like a real longshot.

Built out of Corp Limits and was able to have a full bar. Used to sell TONS of beer to them. Sad to hear the news. . .

Damn it, man. Grrrrr. I guess I'll have to go back to hanging out at the boring old Boston Club.
Geez... just when you find someplace you really like, it's gone with the frickin' wind.

Why didn’t he call John Taffer?

He didn’t need too. Dave’s stayed packed all the time. From what I heard it had something to do with the empty lot he used for parking getting developed.

Seems like a strange reason to just close down your business

Lack of parking area seems to be a strange reason to close a restaurant/bar?

Probably a failure to come to a new lease agreement.

It's interesting about the parking and I can believe it. I've noped out of places in the past due to the parking and not wanting to deal with it.
