Usually comes before a firing/resignation. The unpaid leave is usually a punishment in of itself. Just some inside baseball from a non union agency guy.

Yeah, tbh, the article just said "administrative leave".
He's screwed, anyway, unless the back story shows some violent conflicts.
It would've been so easy for the cop to just drive instead of instigating a whole encounter.

It's only criminals who don't comply with the police. I don't think you'd do that because you're not a criminal.

What crime was the guy committing by filming the officer or anyone else that was on that street?

LOL... I've been lumped in with criminals on this board for a long time because I wear a three piece MC patch.
As for this guy, was he a criminal? If so, what crime did he commit? And along with that, if he was a criminal, why didn't the cop arrest him?

When it comes down to it, the constitution is a piece of paper filled with ideas but that gun is real. You don't know the guy holding the gun and no bill of rights is gonna unshoot you. It sucks but if anyone, cop or otherwise, is threatening you with a gun it's a good idea to comply.

The cop is parked in the street, not this man's drive way. Officer could be taking pictures for police work, or maybe he just really likes the neighborhood. Shouldn't matter. This man takes it personal because of whatever trouble his family faces.. This man approaches the police vehicle while holding a camera.. The police officer doesn't know his intentions. He gets out and ask the guy to show his hands.
There are crazy cop killers. Again, he doesn't know who this guy is or his intentions.
The cop should not have said, "are you some crazy constitutionalist" as in a demeaning way.. However, I think he just meant, "are you trying to give me a hard time?" Lol
I want all police required to wear body cams while on duty. It protects both sides. I don't have an issue with the guy filming the cop to protect himself. I have an issue with him approaching the police officer's vehicle on his own and his initial refusal to show the officer it was a safe situation.
