My friends own that place. They are from arnaudville. The social language is just a bit they do. Both are very intelligent and are well off. Trust me. Extremely successful

They have mastered drive thru pickup crawfish. Personally, I would never buy from them however obviously lots of people don't feel like I do about it. I am not waiting in that kind of line for anything

Shane’s is right across the street. Go get you an oyster poboy instead. And he’s also got pretty good boiled crawfish over there.

Noted and corrected. For the record, I'm on the team illiterate.

This particular drive through line backs up to turn right into location on busy nights. They have signage specifically addressing this. People come from the other direction and cut left into the business when the traffic light on the corner leaves enough space for the cut to occur. Supposedly this is what happened, and the workers saw it. Thus the refusal.

Makes sense. Then I'm good with it. frick entitled people who cut in line because they give no fricks about anybody else.

I'm really not sorry that the hypocrisy galls me.

People on these boards have no idea how ignorant they look when they post shite like, "He took Bill and I to the store." This comes from childhood when kids are obsessed with "me, me, me" and so use the objective case for the subject, and are corrected, "It's 'Bill and I went to the store', not 'Bill and me'" over and over to the point where they're afraid to EVER say, "Bill and me" - even when it's correct in the objective case.

And I'm not even going to go into possessive pronouns and their misuse.

So I've coined the term "Ebawnics" to describe the vernacular here. It seems to fit.

It doesn’t matter when you don’t pay for it. And before someone says you can’t buy alcohol with EBT cards, you absolutely can by selling the cards for cash.

Yup, this seems the be the case with certain cultures. I notice poor folks waste more than the wealthy. Its kind of unreal.

Ebonics is garbage-speak.

Even giving that idiotic crap a name was a mistake.

Not really, that's just your bias talking.

Americans think Chinese is hard to learn, but it turns out it's so simple, even a child can learn it.

No, your assumption is weak and wrong, and of corpse you'd attempt to make a subtle racism post.

We've given legitimacy to Ebonics by including it in dictionaries and actually pretending it is a real African American "language".

Much like lisping gay men, it is a learned device and let's the listener know what they are.

Nobody's ever heard of your made-up word.
