I'm not a Christian and I consider myself much more of a libertarian than a conservative, but personally I would really consider painting and placing a specific chair to honor the 7.2% of Americans who fit under a specific umbrella of sexualities to be treating it like it's a more special set of values. I think, for me, not having chairs represent sexualities whatsoever would be an environment where "what you believe is no more special than what anyone else believes."
ETA: This isn't actually going to stop me from going to Cracker Barrel (not that I've been in one in over 10 years), because I'm not offended by gays or anything, but let's not kid ourselves into believing our society is not disproportionately giving attention to them.
