Tell that to all the OLOL employees that are having to work the COVID unit because it's skyrocketing. Most are unvaccinated patients of all ages and it's not mild symptoms for many.

we’ll be piling bodies up in the streets in 2 weeks, again.

1000+ in the hospital. Less than a month ago it was like 230. 5x jump in less than 4 weeks.

Since when do they do flu shots in home or at work?

before i started working from home, the company i work for used to have a physician come in once a week to give out flu shots. this company is really big on safety and health though so it was expected.

We have a busy covid unit as well. We also have dozens more rooms that can be converted if the need arises. So does OLOL so spare me the theatrics. I saw 7 yesterday. One was bad off in her 70s. The other 6 were on 3L or less and walking around their rooms.

I'd get one if it came with a 30 pack of cialis...I mean, where is the incentive?

You don't think it's alarming we are going through another spike and that we should worry at all? I'm honestly curious as I do realize there's still space to house people, but it's going in the wrong direction very fast.

On the bright side, these Covid vaccines are far more effective at preventing a serious Covid infection than the flu shot is at preventing the flu.

The flu shot is often about as effective as the Catholic Church’s birth control plan.

And just like the previous waves it’ll last a couple months and we will go back down. The supply chains have been fully restocked and were better than ever at treating and getting these folks up. Quit the fricking fear porn.

I'm not worried.

There were very very few hospitals having issues when 100% of the country was unvaccinated or lacked natural immunity.

Now probably 70% of the country has vaccinated or natural immunity.

Someone should start a thread on what it would take for them to get the shot.. For me it would be convenience. Maybe a gift certificate to walk-ons.

1 case increases to 10 = 1000% increase! We need to implement a lockdown again!

Sydney is shutting the entire metro area down and implementing curfews over a 0.01% positive test rate. 111 positive results from 82,000 tests administered.

Why do the health care personnel whine so much? Did they not realize they were going to have to take care of sick people? STFU already.

Do you realize how much choreography work they're going to have to do in the coming months? Tik Tok is no fricking joke.

When is the deadline for JBE's $1M drawing? If it's coming soon, I might be inclined to believe some of the 'rush', but I have some faith that some people can do math.

It's trending up in a significant way. But we are not about to run out of hospital beds. I don't think it's "soaring". But it could if things don't slow down.

Since 50% of the people in my part of the state are vaccinated, and a few % more likely have some antibodies....the rate of increase isn't sustainable.

That's what happens when people don't get vaccinated.

This.

+ when unvaccinated and untested illegal immigrants get shuttled to cities across the state because the White House needs the votes in 2024.
