I have not been feeling well and took a COVID test on Tuesday at the Baton Rouge Clinic. This was not the rapid test so the said it would take 24-72 hours for results. I keep hearing of much longer wait times for test results. Has anyone taken at COVID test at the Baton Rouge Clinic? if so, how long did it take to get results? If not taken at the BR Clinic but took a COVID test in BR what was your wait time for test results.

You gonna be recovered by the time you get that test back. Good Luck.

I was told 24-48 hours, then they(BR Clinic) + Lake After Hours had an outage, causing delays... I was told expect more like 72 hours now.

I did the drive through in the parking lot down the street from OLOL. I got an appointment after a virtual Dr's visit. No waiting and it took 15 minutes to get the result. Luckily it was negative. This was in early May.

It took mine 72 hours to get back but that was kinda when shite was starting to hit the fan with all the cases popping up so the system wasn't overwhelmed with a ton of test.

You're likely not to even get your test result back anyway.
I've lost all faith in anything involving Covid. You will probably get test results from a swab of some nurse's dog.

We had rapid tests back in April. Tests that take several days are pretty useless in my opinion. Why isn't everyone using rapid tests: cost or accuracy or availability?

Right now.. availability is my understanding. We just don't have any.

I went to two places trying to get a rapid test on Tuesday but they did not have any available. I then called my doctor who wanted me to take the long test because he said the rapid test produced too many false negatives and the long test was more accurate.

No they were not. The BR Clinic sends there tests to Woman's Hospital and the machine used for the tests went down yesterday but no computers were hacked.

Seriously what is the obsession with getting the test results? If you’re sick your sick it doesn’t change shite

I had a test done at BR Clinic prior to an Endoscopy back in May, results came back in roughly 48 hours

Not sure about covid testing, but I was at the Baton Rouge Clinic this morning. All their computers are down.
My Dr. told me that they had to rebuild the servers because of a problem, and that no lab work was being done due to this. Any lab tests are to be scheduled for next week.

He's right though. They had a major, multi day system outage. It might not have impacted testing but it definitely happened.
