While I think the bakers should him be able to do as they see fit, I guess I could understand a small fine or something. The idea that the gay customer got $135k for fricking emotional distress is absurd.

Good.

If I were the only 24 hr tow truck driver in town I should be able to deny you service for whatever I see fit.

The customer(s) then have the same right to either do business or not do business with said small business owner.

Only when they don't.

So freedom of association is now illegal in a private enterprise. This will be overturned.

Do you feel the same when people refuse service to others? Or only when they refuse service to gay couples

And you should.

And then another entrepreneur, who sees an opportunity to provide a better service, potentially at a better price point with an overall better customer experience, can open up his business and run it as he/she sees fit. See how this works?

Forget the bible. This is more about common sense and allowing a small business owner to do what they believe is best to serve their interest and their community.

If a private business does not receive govt subsidy they should be free to run their business as they seem fit.

Jim Crow ruined any chance that this case would end up in the bakers favor.

I love how people are praising the decision by the court. Stupid fricks have no idea that this is just another inch closer to a totalitarian system.

Unreal how people think it's okay to dictate how ones company should be ran.

Exactly, he's too ignorant to look past today and see the sort of precedent this reinforces. What else does this force on business owners? Could a Christian threaten to sue a gay artist if they refuse to paint a picture of gays burning in hell? I'm an atheist and I think the government should recognize gay marriages but I draw the line there.

A business owner should have the right to deny service to anyone they want so long as its not a life or death issue.

So if 24 hr tow driver made $32,000 annually I'm sure people would be chomping at the opportunity for that market cap.

Except in small town America where this might actually be literally impossible. I lived for a time in a place where one gas station and one restaurant was in a 45 mile radius. If I were denied service for being a straight white male then I'd have to make a near 1.5 hr drive to just to get gas.
