Possibly, I'm not an engineer and neither are you

Both cables are made of the same stuff, and usually buried with other cables. You use the same equipment and labor.

I’ve shared this story here before, but I’ll repeat it.

I live in St Charles Parish, one of the hardest hit areas of Ida. We were without power for 28 days following the storm, 29 total.

I received a bill for the month of $260.
When I inquired about the bill I was told it was based on an average had I had power for those 29 days.
I wanted to choke her through the phone for assuming I was that dumb to accept that answer.
They really have you by the nuts, because what are you going to do cancel your electricity or find a new company?

After numerous calls, bitching and complaining, or what I like to call “explaining sense to idiots”, they scratched the entire bill.

You have no clue what you're talking about, ever.

There is no more expense burying a utility wire to a house. Both cable and electric supply power. You just want there to be.

Are you on levelized billing?

I mean, even for you. What a completely disingenuous post.

Wrong.

How much more does it cost to bury a power cable to a house vs a cable line?

Why are you only concerned with the wire running to the house?

I was saying you’re wrong about them being made of the same material. I came in on the arse end, so maybe I read you wrong.
I’m just here to say I hate entergy with every fiber in my body regardless.

Depth of the burial is one.

Those cable guys aren’t digging a trench and burying it.

Not everyone pays the same fees because not everyone benefits from all capital projects. It's a true get what you pay for so I'm not sure why people are bitching about it.

My understanding is that everyone who is part of Entergy Louisiana was part of the same fee structure.

Is that not correct?

He's wrong regardless. Now he's fishing for some kind of win on semantics while calling everyone that disagrees with him stupid and a kid

Cool, maybe yall will have a region destroying event that will require massive infrastructure rebuilding and your "common" fees might look a little different.

We are smart enough not to live in those regions.

But not smart enough to make a ridiculous post that shows you can't think outside of your narrow worldview.
