Im not saying I’m upset about what they were doing, but they aren’t cops. And the cops aren’t beating pedos with baseball bats, so I’d say it’s pretty different

Didnt police in NOLA get in trouble for something similar? They would leave a unlocked car in strategic locations. When stolen, they would push a button and the car would shutdown and lock from the outside.

They are doing a public service. Is it stupid? Yes. It is risky, you never know what a thief will have on them, but if they are willing to accept the risk.. Then I'd rather see the thief get the shite beat out of them for trying to rob someone than to see the thief to rob some old people who couldn't protect themselves or something.

Again, they are cops. These people are not. And the cops aren’t beating people with baseball bats. I’d be ok with them starting on thieves though.

I'm sure the thieves were of an alternate ethnicity.
The couple being white will work against them.
Also headline implies that they were defending them selves and possibly doing so during the robbery.
Having said that I'm glad they beat them with baseball bats. Wood would be better; less energy transfer from end of bat to persons arm thats swinging it.

Which is good because cops would get fired if they beat these thieves. I'd rather see the thieves get beat down than get arrested, two days later they are out of jail trying to steal some more shite.
