Lift. STFU. Start building the life you want to have because your s/o should soon not be part of it.

Forgiveness is always an option if the person is repentant. Most long term marriages go through some type of hardship that they survive. I say this as someone coming up on 35 years.

Emotional cheating is forgivable to me, but I am also of the mind that the only way that could possibly happen is if I emotionally abandon my wife. So it would definitely fall into mutual fault area.

Adultery without an emotional connection? Immediate divorce:
- it will happen again
- not sharing with some other dude who has God knows what
- mostly, it is my greatest sacrifice in this world full of hos and thots to not bang every chick I think is hot, and she owes me the same respect.

Short answer: yes. It is possible she has no intention of it becoming physical and this is just fulfilling a need you currently aren’t meeting. Did she come forward with it or did you discover it? Is she remorseful and what was her reasoning? It’s a betrayal of trust, certainly, but you undoubtably share some responsibility. If she were just trash she’d just frick around. Find out what the problem is and fix it.

Yes but with all things there will be a remnant, forever as forgiving and forgetting don't run in pairs. The forgiveness will likely take time as trust has been shaken, possibly broken.

Look for the good that can be realized and that will be akin to locating the Holy Grail but it is possible

90% of the time it just means the logistics haven’t worked out in her favor yet and she’s not yet at the stage where she’s being creative enough to get dangerous with it. Like parked in cars or hotel bars.

Using phrases like this, I can see why she did it. C’mon man.

The first question I have is, are you married? And is the other guy single?

IDK, I'm just kind of whiny, petty, and sentimental, I guess. Look at the crap I post here. I have the brain of a 14-year-old girl, but I recognize it and try to control myself.
