Could the US conquer the entire world if it wanted to?

I’m talking defeating militaries and imposing US rule on the countries conquered.

Eh, we could defeat the militaries if we really had reason to, but no way to maintain control and rule of everyone. Would be spread way too thin.

Yes. There is a graphic showing number of military and vehicles and equipment compared to other countries and we have way way more.

Right, we have more than "other countries" to where we could easily defeat said country in a war with them. If it was USA vs the entire rest of the world at one time, it's insane to think we'd come out ahead.

Defeating the rest of the world's military is far easier than occupying the rest of the world. Colonial expansion is proof of that.

To be fair, the US is a major defense supplier across the world, so many supply chains would be in our favor.

Are they attacking us or are we attacking them?
We couldn't defeat all the world's militaries if we are attacking them all over the world.
Other countries couldn't invade us even if it was the entire world. They could eventually win a war of attrition attacking us over a period of decades depending on our will to keep fighting.
Assumes no nukes in both cases because us vs the world with nukes just means world is dead.

If we struck first, simultaneously worldwide from all our assets overseas, aircraft from the USA, and navy deployments all over, we could.
And even if we have a lot of work left to do, the USA is very well isolated from the rest of the worlds' military powers.
