When I-12 was being built, we walked up the unfinished bridge over the Tchefuncte. A couple of people jumped off okay but a girl went and the impact dislocated her shoulder. That was the end of that. It was an incredibly stupid thing to do but that’s what kids do.

It’s all about breaking the surface tension right before you enter. Try it, you’ll see

Highest I’ve ever jumped from is ~80’. Hit the water (damn-near) perfectly and still hurt like hell. <60’ all day, any day. 100+? NFW.

Check out Blue Hole in Wimberley, TX and Hamilton Pool near Dripping Springs, TX.

I survived jumping of off the Falgout Canal Bridge in my teens. I also know someone who survived jumping off of the Big Bayou Dularge Bridge. Come to think of it I jumped off of the old Green Monster at Bayou Dularge.

Keep calling it the new bridge and they'll never give an actual new bridge.

As long as he writes from experience alone on this one, I'm ok with it
