it pretty much would in Nashville/Davidson County (TN) from what I've heard.

Yep. Polygraph/Psychological/Physical and that's after you've already passed a written and physical fitness test.

Two major dealers I knew in the 90's are both cops now. I guess you can be a criminal as a cop as long as you never got caught. Blew my mind when I first saw em.

All you need right now is the ability to walk up right and be breathing to join NOPD. They have such an officer shortage the standards are VERY VERY Relaxed.

Did you go to rehab immediately thereafter? If so, I believe there are some legal protections afforded you. I know that when hiring you can't even ask someone about drug or alcohol use if they have completed a legitimate rehab program for the problem and been clean since.
