Hey I currently live in Cary and work in Palatine. A coworker lives in Elgin and would probably suggest living elsewhere. A lot of great places to live a short distance from Elgin and most of the suggestions here have been accurate....

I had a coworker who fancied himself a big duck hunter. He got a plate that said "DKHNTR". Every called him dick hunter so he changed it to DUHNTR. Then he became the dude hunter....

Yep. Polygraph/Psychological/Physical and that's after you've already passed a written and physical fitness test. ...
No more like denying all drug use then flunking the polygraph on the drug question. Truth is we expect that people will have some drug use in their background. It's really how long ago, how many times and what kind of drugs....
Hate to break it to you but even an expunged arrest can be found in a thorough background investigation. Your best bet is give it time and then be completely honest about what happened. Use it as a way to show how much you have matured and learned from it....
The biggest thing that disqualifies people is drug use, and I mean recent drug use. This includes "study aids" a lot of college kids use without a prescription such as Adderall and similar medications....
Its all about putting time between the arrest and the interview. Speaking for LE in Illinois, a DUI 10 years ago would not automatically disqualify you....
