This shite is driving me crazy. My throat really doesn't hurt that bad, a little sore. I only slept about two hours last night. Went to work and other then being tired I was ok I came home and brought some otc cough medicine. I tried going to bed at 8:30 because I was tired but now it's a constant cough. I've tried gargling with warm salt water also and that didn't help. Any suggestions?

What is your recent consumption of AIDS dicks? Honestly.

1) Blow your nose. Even if you don't think you need do.
2) Lay on your back and prop your head up with 2 or 3 pillows. You need to sleep elevated.
3) Stop sucking dicks and catching Aids.

What’s with you people who refuse to go to the doctor especially during flu season? Are you a simple person in the head ?

Sorry on your impending death. Sympathy to your next of kin.

How long has the cough been this way? No real other symptoms you typically see with a cold but just a cough that gets worse lying down?
If its more than a few days, my money is on it being atypical GERD or a mild allergic reaction.
Try eating earlier and see if that helps.
If you really are only coughing lying down, try taking a dose of Nexium OTC a few hours before going to sleep (before dinner), and avoid eating early at first.
If you were exaggerating about coughing only lying down and you also cough in general, try Zantac OTC.
If you find the approach helps, stick to it for a week or two and see what happens when you take the pills away.
If the second helps a little, try OTC anti histamines.
If neither helps, go to a doctor.

Take vitamin c and gargle with peroxide.

That happens to me real bad in the spring time because of allergies to tree and grass pollen. So bad that I can’t breathe without coughing and falling asleep is almost impossible.
There is no easy fix, only mitigation. Take a sleep aid like Benadryl or Advil PM. Try to either sleep sitting up or with your head propped up a bit. Take an antihistamine daily to dry the mucus from your throat.

What he said ....was going to mention reflux before I saw it was already posted. Definitely something to consider given that it is related to position

Same thing here. Go see doc. May give you a steroid or inhaler. Helped me.
