Starting g to think about the next sports car I will purchase. Considering a c8 z06. For those with one...any issues or regrets of getting one? They seem to be pretty solid, reliable cars.

I am as well although I've pretty much made up mind that's what I'm getting. I had base 2007 Corvette that I had some work done on it at 21st Century Muscle Cars when we lived in Dallas.
Living in Nashville now so I'm thinking about driving to Bowling Green and do the Z06 driving experience since that's probably the only way I'll get to drive a Z06 before I order one.
You'll probably get more replies if you read in the (C8) Z06 section on corvetteforum.com and midenginecorvetteforum.com.

The C8 Z06 is impressive with a 670 hp NA engine - it's supercar level performance without some of the premium exotic car overhead. Stress to these type cars including reliability issues stem from frequent tracking. I like the redesigned interior for 2026.
I'm more of a Corvette traditionalist and own a C7. Absolutely love the car.

Make sure you glue your toupee on extra tight for the test drive

I have one on order, 2 things, stick to the break in instructions religiously and service the transmission religiously. Other than that, use a good windscreen reflective barrier to protect the dash. BTW, it’s a beast, crazy fast

Needing a ride to impress the Walgreens pharmacist as she hands you your Viagra?

The Corvette, especially the C8, seems to have gone from white guy midlife crisis mobile to the brotha-mobile

It’s crazy. I personally know someone that had the dash turn to rub rubbish when the car was only six months old.
Dealer did not want to warranty it.

A corvette reliable?
Fun? Yes. Fast? Yea. Flashy? Yep.
Reliable??? Ehhhhhhh.

Buddy of mine bought a used one about a year ago and refers to it as "a whole in my garage that I throw money in".
Transmission shifting issues, computer issues, ABS issues...to name a few.
He's hoping he's done with "issues" and says he has too much $$ in it to sell and take total beat down.

Very solid and reliable...
Good time to buy one RN

2025 2LZ coupe sitting in the garage. Took delivery at NCM recently. Drove it home and put 2k miles on it within the first month. It is obnoxiously loud and gets abhorrent gas mileage. And I absolutely love it. The carbon fiber aero kit is sexy as hell. Didn’t get the CF wheels. When it downshifts and burbles/pops I always get the biggest grin.
Had a 2020 2LT Z51 coupe before this. Super compliant, easy to daily drive, lots of fun when you wanted to cut up but very well mannered vehicle.
I also had a 2012 Shelby GT500 before that. It was tastefully modified (suspension, pulley, tune) and tried to kill me repeatedly. So much fun but definitely happy it’s gone.

Fuel fill deflection issue.
Caused some cars to be burned up during refueling, including one of GM's cars.
The fix was a sticker on the fuel door:
"IF CAR CATCHES FIRE, GET OUT"

Nothing like a RWD car with not quite enough tire, and tons of torque...

Hahaha exactly. It was predictable how the rear end would step out. Most of the time. Goddamn that car was fun but it was not a “I’m gonna go for a drive and clear my head” type of toy.
