Why don't your form a breakout team to spearhead this idea.

I was in an 8 hr training/meeting yesterday that could have been done over the phone in an hour. It freaking sucks

most are driven by HR and Training folks who could not manage their way out of a wet paper bag split on four sides.

You’re getting paid to attend. Just sit back and relax, the fry machine is not that difficult to use after an hour or so.

Get some of those glasses that look like your eyes are open, and take a nap or seven, go to lunch, then say you must've eaten something bad and go home

This is usually true. HR types are useless. Trainers are also usually one-size-fits-all retards who don't actually research who they're talking to.

Now, if you/your organization actually hires an instructional designer with a clearly stated goal, those workshops tend to be pretty good.

They were never designed to be useful. Sit there and pretend to pay attention like everybody else. And for God's sake don't be a gunner asking a bunch of questions and slowing things down.

"Please be sure to complete the online courses with accuracy and efficiency." These are painfully boring as to why I am posting on TD.

Corporate training classes.

Certainly you've covered the important topics like "synergy", "team building" , and "continuous improvement".

All of which are part of the foundation to all things corporate.

If they're anything like the courses I have to take annually, it's not about training you to do your job well. It's about minimizing company liability.
